THE REACTION OF ARMENIAN COMMUNITY OF KRASNODAR REGION ON EVENTS WHICH TOOK PLACE IN ARMENIA IN SPRING

Abstract

The anti-government demonstrations carried out in Armenia in April and May and the resulting change of authorities made a qualitative change in the attitude of the Armenians living abroad. They started to follow the events taking place in their homeland very attentively, and some of them even became direct participants in those events. Armenians living in Russia were also very active from the viewpoint of direct participation in the Armenian demonstrations. The study of the reaction of the Armenian community of Krasnodar to the "revolutionary" events is considered to be very important, for here the Armenian population is the second after the Russians, and in addition, the first meeting of the Armenians living abroad with the newly elected Prime Minister Nicol Pashinyan took place in Sochi, Krasnodar Region, where he arrived to take part in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council session. In the following article there was made an attempt to analyze the reaction of the Armenians of Krasnodar Region on the events which took place in Armenia in April-May from the netstate theory viewpoint: in particular referring the stages of the Armenian identity awakening, attempts to adapt the new text and the modifying network.
